Imagine if we had all been brought up appreciating the things we did well? That we learned to appreciate ourselves and others instead of defaulting to criticism and guilt?
Life would feel a lot lighter and more fun if we all learned to emphasize the positive in life and adjust to reduce the negative.
It’s not too late.
We can begin to retrain ourselves so that the rest of our life isn’t lived under a cloud of negativity and criticism. And that begins with how we treat ourselves.
This week’s meditation is a step you can take to show yourself more love and compassion, because any change starts with ourselves.
If you would like extra credit… Before going to sleep each night, take two minutes and focus on practicing gratitude for three items in your life and/or about yourself. You will sleep better.
When we take time to care for ourself, life feels a little bit lighter.
Be well,
Larry
